1. Verify that product received is identical to product ordered. Salar Sang specifies codes,sizes and quantities on all pallets.Be sure to thoroughly inspect the material prior to installation. Salar Sang does not accept claims after installation.

2. The foundation should be solid, level and clean. A cement based floor leveling compound is acceptable to use in leveling the slab. To insure maximum bonding, apply a thin layer, with a mop, of acrylic latex solution and water (1:1) to the floor prior to installation.

3. The structural and expansion joints should be respected to verify a proper installation method. Expansion joints sometimes require a crack isolation membrane or a "slip sheet" to be applied prior to installation.

4. Use a latex fortified multi-purpose thinset mortar. Apply the mortar using a notched trowel. Be sure that there is even transfer of the mortar to the back of the floor tile.

5. Tiles must be laid evenly in order to avoid ridging and obtain a perfectly even surface. All Salar Sang tiles are rectified with tolerances of 0.4 mm.

6. A join of 2 to 3mm between tiles is recommended. Grout should be a polymer enhanced unsanded cement grout. Remove excess grout before it dries. For an Epoxy Grout installation, consult your local tile distributor for the approved manufacturer's product.

7. For exteriors, facades and other large surfaces, use dual-component adhesives products designed for these installations. A double application of adhesives is necessary for large formats in order to reinforce adhesion between surface and tile. Mechanical installation is highly prefered.

8. Salar Sang tile should be cut with a diamond tip saw blade. Tile may be drilled with a water-cooled masonry bit.

9. After installation, please follow the care and cleaning guidelines before allowing traffic across the surface of the tile.
